CDL Practice Test
Please tell us, and please do not assume you must be the one who is mistaken. Email us the question text and we will re-check it against the source. A wrong answer in a licensing app does not cost you points in a game — it costs you an exam, so we treat these reports as high priority and we would rather fix one than leave it in.
That said, please read our Terms of Use: this app is an unofficial study aid, we do not guarantee that any content is accurate or current, and you should always verify a rule in 49 CFR or your state's commercial driver manual before relying on it.
The three knowledge tests you sit for a Class A commercial licence:
Endorsements — Hazardous Materials, Tanker, Passenger, Doubles/Triples and School Bus — are not in the app yet. They are planned for updates, and we do not list a test we cannot practise.
This app covers the knowledge (written) test only. The skills test — the pre-trip inspection walkthrough, basic control manoeuvres and the road drive — is scored by an examiner in person and is not something a question bank can prepare you for.
No, and that is deliberate. The CDL knowledge test is set by federal regulation (49 CFR Part 383) and scored at 80% everywhere, so the content is written once from the regulation itself and applies in every state. Where a rule genuinely varies by state — some weight limits, school bus procedures — we do not guess: those questions are simply not in the bank yet rather than being written for one state and shown to everyone.
Your state's commercial driver manual is still the document to check before your test, and every question in the app links to the federal regulation it comes from.
The app has no account and no cloud backup — your answers, results and mistakes are stored on your device only. Progress does not transfer to a new phone, and reinstalling the app clears it. This is deliberate: it means your study data never leaves your device. (Anonymous usage counts are measured separately and contain none of your answers — see the Privacy Policy.)
Open the app, go to Settings → Premium and use Restore purchase. Make sure you are signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account you bought it with. Subscriptions are tied to that store account, not to the app.
Subscriptions are managed entirely by your app store. On iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid renewal. Refunds are handled by the store under its own rules; we cannot issue them.
Yes. Every question, explanation and road sign is bundled inside the app. There is no account, no sign-up and no data connection needed to study. Ads and purchases are the only things that need a connection.
Use the support email listed on the app's store page.
